We have begun the next phase of installing new shingle boxes around the estate.
The shingle boxes cover areas next to the buildings where grass will not grow, generally improving the appearance of the estate’s grounds. Some residents have taken this a step further by placing flower pots and planters in their shingle boxes.
The installation of the shingle boxes is more than just a cosmetic change to the estate. The boxes help protect the exterior walls from being damaged by damp soil. We have been focusing the installation of the boxes in areas where the ground tends to stay damp.
