Further to our post on 29th January, we have now had the damaged carport assessed by our builders. They have recommended that remedial work be carried out to make the carport safe as soon as possible. We have forwarded their recommendation and their quote for the remedial work on to the insurers. We expect to receive confirmation to go ahead with the remedial work in the next few days.
The remedial work will involve clearing the fallen debris, taking down the most damaged portions of the wall, and installing temporary roof supports. Once this work is completed, the bays for apartments 7, 11, & 12 will be useable again, as will the bin store. The bays for apartments 9 & 10 will remain out of service until the wall can be properly repaired.
